Photographer's Note
The City Palace of Udaipur at sunset, Rajasthan.
Few words about the City Palace:
A section of the Palace is open to public, another section is still used by the Maharaja, and one wing was converted into a luxury hotel. This is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, and it is a blend of Medieval European and Chinese architecture, the palace complex has a number of remarkable buildings of immense beauty, gardens and fountains, well planned and finely executed over the years.

Hi Jorge,
together with Jaisalmer Udaipur is the place I loved most in Rajastan.
I like this sunset view...the golden reflection on the white marble.
I can also see the ghat on the lake..where I used to sit and take some photos on local people!
ciao

Hello Jorge -
This is well done and captured at the right time of the day for maximum impact. The image looks a tad soft and I am wondering why an f/4 was used rather than something smaller. Anyway, well seen and presented.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Jorge again,
Quite descriptive, but it feels a little empty, something is missing in front I think.
Btw, why did you use the ND8 filter, your exposure was still fast enough not to make the waters blurry.
From my experience its best to use 2 ND8 filters, narrow aperture f/16 and looooong exposure 10 seconds to create that blurred water effect during the daylight, and of course a tripod.
One ND8 filter might not be enough in many cases, but you could try ND8 + polarizer + f narrowest + ISO lowest + not against to the sun :)
Many Regards and waiting for your next post

Bruno,
this is very good! I'm sure that I saw this same place here at TE, but not sure if it was in your collection or someone else. As far as I rememeber that shot I certainly prefer this one that has this magical light bathing the whole scene in a golden light. The only thing that I miss would be a boat in the 1/3 left or right corner ;-)

Hola Jorge,
Estupenda perspectiva de esta bonita ciudad con una luz muy especial.
Me gustan los brillos dorados del agua a causa de los reflejos.
Excelentes colores y definición.
Cordialmente

Hi Jorge,
I probably couldn't afford a ten minute stay at the luxury hotel wing of this amazing old palace. Even the super wealthy today would be green with envy to see the extavagant lifestyles of the rich several hundred years ago. Excellent photograph with excellent sharpness and details!

Hola Jorge!
Excelente toma de arquitectura, amigo, este palacio es impresionante por si mismo, pero lo has captado, en la mejor manera posible, bajo esta luz caliente, y con una exposicion, sencilla pero perfecta para este tipo de fotografia. Felicidades!
Un saludo, Hercules
