Thikarda is a little village about 30 minutes by rikshaw from Bundi. It's a very pleasant place to hang out for a day or so. The moment we got there, my wife and I were instantly surrounded by children - lots! They were all vey excited to be showing these foreigners around their little village.
Thikarda is known for it's pottery and ceramics, which are on sale in Bundi and Kota markets and shops.
The people here we immensly friendly and you could see they were genuinely happy that we were there. We were introduced to many, many parents, grand parents, uncles, aunties ....... and every person welcomed us warmly.
This is a photo of one of the children's mothers. It gives a good example of the colours they like to wear in this part of Rajasthan.
