Photographer’s Note
The camel fair in Pushkar is the kingdom of jugglers. All the family is mobilized. Mother claping her hands to call the audience and to collect rupies at the end of the exhibition. Father beating a drum to accompany his daughter (6-7 years old) walking on a string fixed up between 2 posts. Hour later, the posts are removed and the show starts again 200m further away !

Salut Patrick

I love crowd scenes Patrick, and this is so finely composed. Good POV to keep the artist way above the crowd.

Hi Patrick
Very sharp with good detail. Great Rajastani colors.
Nice low pov, keeping the performer up above the rest in the blue sky where she belongs. Really comp with the father accompanying on the drum perfectly placed. Well done.

Bonsoir Patrick,

Hi Patrick!
I've always heard about this fair, it must be quite worth. I like this scene and the way you captured it. I really like to see the little girl with sunglasses, walking on the rope. I also like the expressions of the people watching.
Amazing, there are no tourists watching:)!

Patrick: what a great piece of reportage -and the sunglasses make this shot a bit endearing. Child labor - with a different twist - it's common in the subcontinent. c

Salut Patrick,
I recently saw a TV documentary about Pukshar - a real world on its own - absolutelly authentical, unique and amazing. Everywhere else in the world I would judge this a crime - 6-7 year child working a dangerous job for the income of her family. Here I tend to make an exception - this is a different world. Therefor I am sending you a big smile for this great documentary. TFS Thomas

Hello Patrick. What for a beautiful and alive photo. The spectators, the balancing girl and the drummer fit in the best way. Exemplary composes. Really a good shot. Best regards, Wolfgang.
