Photographer's Note

This perspective of the temple is from the southeast corner. It affords a clear view of the sanctuary, its images, and the shikhara. There are no subsidiary shrines remaining on the terrace, if in fact they were ever erected in the first instance. The design-work around the base (plinth) is clear and shows the elaboration carried out by the sculptor. The temple dates from 750 - 775 CE.
