Photographer's Note

Rajasthan is said to be the place of origin of Gypsies. Any visitor can easily confirm that by looking at the faces, clothing and accessories of Rajasthanis, particularly woman. This incredibly expressive woman was going about her afternoon chores in the welcoming and wonderfully off-the-beaten-track town of Narlai, located in the hills that separate Jodhpur from Udaipur, close to the fort of Kumbhalgarh and the Jainist town of Ranaikpur, much more traditional stops.
