Photographer's Note

This is a detail of an haveli in Mandawa, a town situated in the Shekhawati region, in Rajasthan.
Mandawa was included in the old caravan route from China to the Middle East, this way attracting many traders. The fort and a large number of havelis (private mansions decorated with magnificent frescoes, which are common in this region))are still there today, as a testimony of the importance of the town during that period.
Taken early in the morning.
