Just below the huge fort of Kumbalgarh there are some small villages which we were strolling around in and came across many friendly people including this proud man who was standing by his garden gate.
The fort of Kumbalgarh was built in the 15th century and sits at 1100m, it is reached up winding roads through the Aravalli hills. The thick walls of the fort stretch for 36km.

I like so much this portrait...love his eyes looking straight at us...and his t-shirt! Many details, you well seen the scene and well mastered the light for a perfect monochrome, congratulations!

A splendid portrait, with an extremely judicious black and white, a framing and an ideal format… an extra and extremely expressive face.
Very good work for one made splendid.

nice portrait. He definitely has an engrossing gaze. The ripped t-shirt is an interesting detail but I find it tends to distract the viewer from his look.

A strong portrait of this proud looking man.Good perspective from your low POV and perfect sharpness.I like his hair and beard.
But looking at his breast he seems to have a Gynecomastia, which can be very painful.

Une personne qui semble avoir du caractère et pour laquelle tu as réalisé un très beau portrait.
J'aime bien l'allure général de l'image. Je suis moins convaincu par l'arrière plan très claire qui, je trouve, attire trop l'attention.

Excellent portrait, great eye contact and interaction with your hero, he has an excellent, calm and proud expresion! Great framing and composition, perfect choice of b&w!

It is a very good portrait sharing a piece of the humanity/soul of the man. At least I feel it in this way.
The B&W provides a good piece of grey tones with a good balance between the man and the blur background.

Shooting portraits have a lot to do with finding the right subject, full of character and presence. Then, it's up to you to demonstrate interest in your subject, so he naturally disposed to offer you its best cooperation.
That's what you achieved here, by selecting this strong man with interesting features and personality. You've captured fine details, thanks to a perfect sharpness.
All I can think of to improve this already fine portrait would have been a closer cropping; the partial arm and watch doesn't bring anything to the composition and too much white space "dilute" the impact of your subject's face.
Extra nice work Wanda.
P.S.: Isn't it the t-shirt you were wearing in SA?... LOLL!! Don't be mad at me, it's a joke!
