Photographer’s Note
Laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone. One of my dad's favourite sayigns to me as a kid.
I just wanted to add this feel-good image to my gallery. Man and wife, they worked repairing the roads in Kumbalghar, their laughter was infectious. I am sure there are not many of us that have worked as hard as this couple this week.
Enjoy your weekend - I am off to see Morrissey tonight!!

Hello Elaine. There are so many ways for good photos. You show a wonderful example of direct contact. The laughter of the pair is sticking on. Also the close framework, which considers only the important, pleases me. The photo is beautiful and worth seeing. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Elaine,
Amazing capture of nice smiles, their wonderful expression reduced an impression of the hard blur in the background. I'm surprised it doesn't have more comment despite such a wonderful shot.

Yes, I agree. I can bet if any of us would've ever worked this hard! They work real hard- this is the least one can imagine by looking at their sun-burnt skin and cramped fingers. But at the end of day, its about how you embrace life and they do it with a smile. My complements to them for their spirits, and you for this winner...

hello Elaine
this is not a stolen photo as my last one,but you had here some very natural expressions and some large smiles that seem really sincere! It's often a problem when the indian people begin to pose, and stay right without a smile on their face!I don't know why these ones were laughing like this, but this is a great pleasure to look at!
Regards
Pascale

Hi Elaine
Does not make me laugh, does not make me smile !!
Simply moves me a lot just because it is so representative of this "India" that I love, the friendly people
Sweet memories are made of this
Thanks Elaine
