Walking down the road in a village near the Kumbalgarh fort we saw these ladies carrying huge bunches of straw. I thought it was amazing how they carry it.
In the workshop I have put a shot of them from behind to see the size of the bundles better.

Een paar mooie ogen met glimlach onder het stro vandaan. Vind je strakke kadering heel erg goed, ook hoe de kleur rood hier erg goed tot z'n recht komt...zeer fraai daily life portret.

Nicely seen here with beautiful clarity also! She is looking right at you, and the straw that is in her eyes seems to add something without detracting. It never ceases to amaze me what they carry around in India, and Nepal. Interesting workshop also! Lovely shot, cheers,

I like this idea of having the lady's face partially hidden by the straw that she carrying even though this photo doesn't give a clear idea of the size of the load she has on her head. You managed a good eye contact with your subject and she is even giving you that timid smile. The WS is a good idea to show us the size of the load.
Guess you'll soon be off to Canada, so I wish you a wonderful trip! :o)

Hi Wanda, I like this composition, with the woman's eyes visible from beneath her load. DOF is good with sharpness every where it is needed. cheers, Steve

I have to say that this portrait is very particular
because of the huge bunches of straw.
The composition is very well done and the colors are really amazing.
I also like a lot the WS, where we can see the whole scene. Have a great day.

Excellent daily life scene, great portrait job, perfect framing and composition, wonderful smile, excellent expresion, excellent "interaction" with your "model"! As usual, brilliant, "Indian" colours! Congratulations!

It's her peeping through the straw makes this so very alluring. A good tight crop & the contrast between her red dress and the straw stands out. You've got a nice smile on her face as well. Lovely portrait!

Wanda esta fotografía es muy buena. Me encanta como has conseguido captar su mirada a travez de las pequeñas ramas. Su vestimenta es muy colorida y con muchos pequeños detalles. Es un hermoso retrato.

A very original portrait. This lady offers you a nice and shy smile and I like the way her face is partly hidden. Of course, the colour of her clothes are superb, very vivid. Good shot!
PS : thanks for the WS : the load she is wearing is impressive!!
