This was taken from running train during my Train Journey from Ranthambore to Kota. You can see some black blurred portion of the window grill at top.
This is Lakheri area of Kota. Lakheri is famous for its strong and solid bricks.
These are workers of a Brick Furnace or "Eent Bhatta" (that is just behind this house). This area is famous for Kota Stone and red Sand stone. Till few years earlier, all of the major constructions of walls and columns were made from stone pieces but now bricks have taken place for walls and columns are made from RCC and in some cases with stone pieces.
It is just before the sunset (around 5:00 p.m.) of January and these workers have completed their daily duty on brick furnace. It is time to wash the hand and mouth and go to prepare dinner. Many of the workers reside nearby this brick furnace to save daily conveyance charges. Each worker gets around Rs. 75-80 (USD 1.5$) a day. Both man and woman members work. Many of the male workers waste their hard earned money into "Desi Daru" (locally made liquor) and in that case family expenditures are borne by ladies of the family. Many times this problem leads to disturb their daily life.
Photo taken just before Sunset.

well captured and nicely framed shot, considering that it was taken from a running train. The sharpness is good and the light is very nice. Thanks also for the very interesting note!

Excellent capture.First I thought it was night shot but your note explains.May be you could have cropped top to remove black stains.I think 2nd class compartments are better for photograpghy.Congratulations

I think your picture has a high diocumentary value. Good that you show a different side of India than the most visitors (Or inhabitants)that frequent this site.
The light is good and the scene in the middle is real intruiging. I would have cropped it drasticly.

for a shot taken from a moving train, it has excellent color and dof, dark shadows on the top half of the composition adds some extra depth in this compo. well done.

Hello Rakesh, my friend!
Thogh technically difiicult to shoot from a window of a running train, you've overcome the difficulty of just a moment available and have managed to show us many years of human life just in on millisecond of exposure time.
