The main purpose of my last visit to India was for business, visiting IT companies in Bangalore. Angshu helped me secure one such meeting and this image of a hand-painted advertisment in Jojawar, which seemed liked a million miles away from Electronic City in Bangalore is for Angshu. With thanks and wishing you all the best with the relocation.

Hola Elaine... I love the way you´ve composed this photo, with the text, the stones... And then the gesture of the boy...

I find it very interesting how India has one foot in the old world and the other in the very modern world and makes both worlds meet. Like this painted advertisement, or like companies that receive emails for people who have no computers, print them and deliver them like ordinary mail. You have captured these two worlds with your ordinary good light and sharpness and sense of composition.

Hi Elaine, I kinda like this one. I like the way you have the wall painting forming an interesting background and the way the boy sits there

Hello Elaine. Indeed an interesting and instructive picture. The small boy is indispensable for the total composition. The topic is photographically outstanding realized. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Dit is een prachtige foto, wat een contrast met het kind en de advertentie hoewel die ook op een simpele manier op de muur geverfd is. De compositie is betoverend, het beeld toch ook wel triest.
Rajasthan staat ook op mijn lijstje ;-)))

I think 'Infotech' is the most used & misused word in India. I wonder after reading the handpainted poster what these guys do not do from software courses to printing of cards! Amazing & it also states that it's the only one offering the service in JOJAWAR (I think you got the name slightly incorrect as Jajupur. A fine daily life shot with the child sitting in one corner. Thanks for your dedication Elaine & also thanks for your wishes...I need every ounce of them.
PS : Yes, my latest post was sort of symbolic with the bridge...you've a keen sense & understood my mind pretty well :-)

Dreaming big, the little kid dwarfed by the immense sign and the high demands of the ever compelling society.
This picture is a gem
Thanks for sharing

I love the hand painted advert, and that you've managed to capture the little boy sitting there, with this priceless facial expression, makes this a world-class shot. Great work as always!
