Hi Majiej, Interesting capture. Good DOF played and sharp capture of hand being decorated here. I believe this is what they call henna tattooing. But the color in center hand is new to me. Really an interesting shot. Well done.

A very interesting shot, Maciej. You got here a piece of daily life close-up, with good sharpnesss, DOF and colors. I wonderf if this markes are washable?

A very good documentary-shot, depicting the art of "henna tattooing".
Nice skintones, touches of soft colours here and there, good use of DOF.
Well done Maciej

I like this more detailed photo of the girls hand. You really can see all the details of the drawings. I saw some womens doing this in Expo 98 (World Exibithion) here in Lisbon. Good work

Flawless composition wise with the diagonal dynamics of the palm of the hand. it's a very "photo stock" kind of pics, ie classical, easily readable, one subject at a time...You'll then conclude by yourself... perhaps a bit too simple to be a standalone without any text or a written article behind.

An interesting daily life scene from India. Excellent dov & lighting, with good graphic elements. Are they using 'henna' for the decorations?

I hadn't noticed this one before Maciek. I think this is much better than the later one. Here, we are seeing how it actually applied, there is a good story to be told. The tight composition works here, nothing else is needed to tell the story. The lighting also works for me, although it would be nice tohave the one hot area in the background toned back a little. Good shot.

aah, like your renew selfpicture :-) One of our clan in Bengkulu province here, also have this culture habit, drawing a hand and foot before a woman get married in the next day. We drawing the hand using a herbal colored stuff called: pacar cina. This natural inked could stand until 2 weeks.

One of the best moment you captured from Indian life.
A special occassion heading & Heena (Mehendi) work starts.
Gilrs love this.
I still remember When I was kid we used to bring Mehendi leafs from the backyard & then making a paste use to put it on each others hand.
Nice shot Mac.
