Photographer’s Note
While in Rajastan, India I took an overnight camel trek into the desert. When we broke for camp a number of birds came and basically cleaned off the camels. It was really interesting to see that these nasty old camels actually enjoyed getting picked at by these birds.

What a candid shot, Chris! The expression on the camel's face takes the cake.

Didn't know that a camel is able to put so much expression in his head.
Very funny picture with nice colours.

Very interesting, humorous, and informative picture! You composed it well, the low POV pulls the dark bird against the light sky playing up the contrast, and it also prevents the camel's head from converging with the dune in the back. My only criticism is that the focus seems a touch behind the camel's head/the bird--it seems that the back of the camel's body is tack sharp while the head and the bird are just a little bit soft, but this is a great shot nonetheless.
Thanks!

hi Chris
an interesting and "different" composition... looks like the two of them almost posed for you... well framed at 2/3rds...

AH!!!!!!!!! Just after I post my sand dunes, I see your shot! What marvel! I love it, Chris! This is worth a million! I had a professor who used to look like this camel. I loved his style though... and his humour. Such as this shot's. BRAVO!

this is histerical!!!
great shot. I love birds on heads of statues (I collect those pictures) and this is a wonderful shot. the camel's expression is wonderful.
very sharp, great colors!!
the only critique might be using a gradient tool on the sky to give it some tonal range.
very nice shot
