In 1974 the numero uno film director Satyajit Ray filmed a thriller titled SONAR KELLA, the Golden Fortress, which was centered around the golden fortress in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The film had a wonderful plot revolving around re-incarnation and here in this photo which I've titled "The Last SHOT" was practically the exact location where the great Director RAY had executed the Last Shot of the Film. However, after the Film released it won several awards here in India and as well as abroad, and Jaisalmer soon became a very promising and coveted tourist destination among tourists from all over the globe. The re-incarnated boy was called MUKUL in the film, and here in this photograph MUKUL's residence sequence was shot, hence now if you visit the fort in Jaisalmer, you can ask for MUKUL GALLI or MUKUL BARI, and the Guide will take you right here...
