Young child with pigeons all around her at the foothill of picturesque Amer Fort (also known as Amber Fort) situated 11 kms. outside Jaipur City, Rajasthan.
The Amer Fort was constructed by Raja Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh. The fort was made in red sand stone and white marble. Amer Fort is known for its artistic style, blending both Hindu and Rajput elements. With its large ramparts, series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks the Maota Lake, at its forefront.
