The colourful sari is worn by women throughout India. The amazing colours and patterns stand out as the wearers carry on their daily tasks from roadbuilding, gathering water to sweeping paths. This lady was simply resting from her task of sweeping the courtyards in the historic Amber Fort, perched high on a hill outside Jaipur in Rajasthan.

Very nice portrait of a local woman. Her broom resting beside her add to the appeal of the photo
I remember that I never grew tired myself from snapping away at all the colorful people in India last November

she looks nice and relaxed as she poses for you, but a miss some contrast here. I have tried a WS for you with added contrast. Hope you don't mind

You have captured a great moment here, this womans pose if very proud and elegant. The colours are excellent, and a beautiful composition.
Have a nice weekend!

Hi dear Kathryn
This warm light is exceptionally beautiful and I like your choice of vertical frame. The lady looks proud but a little world-weary, as she probably has a right to be. You've captured her colourful garb very expertly and also her facial expression which says so much.
Have a beautiful weekend, I hope the weather is not too bad over there
