Photographer’s Note
Marigold (Calendula) is an extremely effective herb for the treatment of skin problems and can be used wherever there is inflammation of the skin, whether due to infection or physical damage.
As an ointment, Marigold (Calendula) is an excellent cosmetic remedy for repairing minor damage to the skin such as subdermal broken capillaries or sunburn.
In South Asia bright yellow and orange Marigold flowers are used in their thousands in garlands and to decorate religious statues and buildings. They are also used as offerings and decoration at funerals, weddings and other ceremonies.

Would love to see a more interactive scene here..Wanda...generally their energy levels rise when they sight foreign tourists..seems very formal..conscious here...perhaps you were doing a solo hike up the town..most definitely you were alone...
I domy photowalks alone too..you can concentrate and respond to stimuli from the surrounding better..you anticipate and react better..
did you purchase a string of that..??
tc :)

Hi Wanda,
The man in the middle looks a lot like our former prime minister, Jacques Parizeau, with only a deep sun tan as a difference... :-P)
Good use of the marigold stands to create a diagonal perspective. Three subjects is a good number (better than my 4 women along the ghat...) and all in perfect sharpness.
Genuine street shot.

Hi Wanda
What a colour explosion. Incredible India. I like the perspective given by the row of coloured flowers and the position ofthe sellers, but the top of your shot is not interesting: to be deleted (see my WS).
Kind regards

Hi Wanda,
Ah yes, those Marigolds burning so bright, it seems to shine so brilliantly and brighten up the place. I can almost smell them. I have some in my garden and They are still blooming even late in the season. This is a beautiful daily life shot in the market of India. We use Marigolds in Laos for many decoration in the temples too. It just really adds so much colors.
Thanks Wanda.
