Out of the dark Photo

Photographer’s Note

Deshnok close to Bikaner in Rajastan. I heard about a temple where people worship rats - 10.000 as i heard. When I was there, I had to put off my shoes and the floor felt really sticky as u can imagine - but unfortunately there were only a couple of hundred rats there - not as i exspected.
Nonetheless it was interesting to take pics of people, such as this lady circeling around the praying spot.

I also posted a pic of a man worshiping the rats.

What a great capture ! A real masterpiece. Very good compo and perfect chosen pov. Nice graphical effect; specially the red weil of the women gives a very fine touch to that shot.

What I like most here is the lovely light and the way it is shining through the ladies clothing and also illuminating the building and passageway. The rat running accross the floor is a great detail.

The effect is great, a wonderful feeling of depth and fine details in the darker part of the frame...

and we have a rat here in the forground. lovely light, daniel trhowign an aura of light around the woman. Nicely framed.

This is very beautiful too. The light and the pattern of squares on the floor leads to the human figure, which is perfectly places. A perfect atmosphere.

You've handled the harsh light outside & the exposure contrast very well. The lady is in the perfect place as she steps out of the shadow. We do see a couple of rats in the FG, amongst the 1000s that reside here. Very good shot Daniel!

It's a classic presentation. The lighting is beyond...The bright highlights are lighting that red scarf so nicely. The colors are awesome...thick and natural. Fine photograph indeed.

Deshnok is certainly off the beaten track, not many tourists that I recall from my visit in 2000. Nice picture here, well controlled exposure, the lady stands out for sure.

So ein schönes Foto ... und dann sehe ich beim näheren hinschauen links unten ... ist es eine Ratte? ... dann lese ich den Text ... Schuhe ausziehen und frei umherlaufende Ratten ... um Himmels Willen ... oh Mutter India ... wie reizvoll du auch sein magst ... so fremd wirst du mir wohl auch bleiben ...
bei aller Schönheit der alten Mauern und des Lichtes, aber mit Ratten steh ich auf Kriegsfuss, da sind mir selbst die Tauben in Bangkok lieber. Schlimmer sind nur noch Schlangen. Ich habe ja in Bali und Thailand auch schon einige Begegnungen mit Ratten gehabt, aber hunderte?
Und du bist ganz cool und gelassen geblieben?
Mein Gott, hab ich denn gesagt, dass das Bild sehr schön ist? ;)
