Today after a lot of effort, managing to post again. The site was shut down for server maintenance for a few hours.
Around 50 Km from Kota across a bridge, is the amazingly located fort called Bhainsrorgarh, audaciously perched on a cliff right above the mighty River Chambal. The 260 year old Bhainsrorgarh Fort is one of the most spectacular palaces in Rajasthan, built on a 200 foot cliff overlooking the wide River Chambal. It contains a small village inside it, and the principal building here is a private property being converted into a hotel. Bhainsrorgarh itself is a small walled village, and the area around here is unspoilt by mass tourism.
Bhainsrorgarh can be reached by road by crossing this bridge, or alternately the single boat which you would can see in my earlier picture of this place. I took this picture from the bank of the river Chambal, climbing down from the main road, but from this view, the fort is not visible & is more to the left of the frame. The placid waters of the River Chambal provided excellent reflections & my first impression when I first saw the bridge & it's reflection on the river waters, was that of an arrowhead pierced into the cliff-end on the other side...my fertile imagination at work again ;-)

Une belle perpective, les reflets sont superbes.

Wonderful perspective, reflection on the placid waters of Chambal works out rather well. I particularly like the golden hue on the barren cliff set against the tranquil blue.

Very nice picture.
I realy like the lines created by the bridge and his reflexion.
asajernigan (21294) 2009-02-12 2:31
This is a fine shot with perfect symmetry. The reflection gives the photo excellent depth and a good sense of direction. The bridge leads the eye into the scene nicely while creating a nice diagonal through the shot. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and DOF.

Very beautiful composition.
Looks like a geometric image. the symmetry of the bridge and the reflection looks great.
The colors are especially good.

That would explain it! They must have forgotton to re-set the clock. I can't add points today!
This is beautiful. The light is gorgeous and the reflections stunning. Good analogy with an arrowhead. This must come close to one of your best yet.

Le paysage est toujours d'une grande beauté mais ici le pont y ajoute une note de modernité et un beau graphisme.
Excellent travail !

avene (12675) 2009-02-12 9:05
great shot, Angshuman, the clarity is impeccable and the strong perspective of the bridge adds good depth and 3D feeling to the scene. I like your analogy with an arrowhead, that's exactly how the stramlined shape of the bridge looks. excellent work, my compliments.
patdeph (35748) 2009-02-12 10:13
the perspective on the bridge is impressive and the light has given to the cliffs some wonderful warm colours! It's difficult to see the fort at the top of the cliffs,it seems so small in the vastnesso f the landscape! The reflection is superb, but this is this superb light that makes the photo!Magnificent!

Hello my dear Prof. Angshuman
This is a unique shot for him, I think.
Usually you take photo for landmark sights, ruin, remains and so on from your own original angle and idea. This time your subjects is a modern bridge, so I think you just entered into a new state. I look forward to seeing your new photo up.
Best regards and many thanks for sharing

Fantastic perspective, Angshu. Only two posts of this place in TE and this image makes a great contrast with your previous one. An agressive structure lacerating the tranquile landscape, disturbing its peace, bringing modernity and...stress. Ok, I'm exaggerating ;-) the waters are still and quiet, the reflection is perfect, the graphism is quite appealing. Very nice after the other post.

Bonjour, cher ami Angshu,
J'admire toujours autant votre façon de photographier et de trouver des lieux magiques. Le cadrage est parfaitement réalisé et donne de l'ampleur à la composition.
Le talent est toujours présent.

ChrisJ (99100) 2009-02-13 3:23
Wonderful, symmetrical reflections of the bridge, with superb sharpness. I like the warm cold colour contrast, between the red & cyan. Tfs!
pierrefonds (57445) 2009-02-13 4:55
The reflections in the water of the river Chambal and the diagonal line of the bridge are assets to the composition. The point of view leads our eyes toward the bridge and the fort which is giving perspective to the photo. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.

Ce pont avec son reflet dans l’eau offre ici un très beau graphisme,
Très bon coup d’œil pour le cadrage,
Très bon week-end à toi et au plaisir,
sevy (15365) 2009-02-13 10:24
I notice your are playing a lot with the mirror effect providing by the water. I like even more here because the subject and the reflection are naturally put and shared in the frame of your composition.
emjleclercq (15780) 2009-02-13 13:20
A modern bridge, but a good composition and excellent reflexion.
All the best,
Dpbours (222) 2009-02-13 23:08
What a pristine reflection you got here! The little ripple in the water is really delicate. Love it!
josepmarin (57801) 2009-02-14 6:52
Perfect graphism in this framing where the diagonal of the bridge and its reflections on the water attract our look directly, and later they direct our eyes to the landscape in background.
The composition is very well organized and has an attractive and elegant result.
Good work, my friend.
danos (87427) 2009-02-15 10:10
what a nice perspective with in combination with the equivalent perspective, create a dynamic scenery.I like the surface of the blue river and the charming green foliage seen along its placid banks.Well done my friend.

Another beautiful shot, greatly composed.
I like the way you used the bridge and its reflection but of course, the light, above all, is beautiful!
plimrn (21344) 2009-02-16 11:51
You composed this photo perfectly; I don't think I've ever seen a double V reflection quite like this!! The exposure is perfect as well.
How nice that Sabyasachi still visits your photos, he was my introduction to India. However, you've taken up the torch and maintain my education and fascination.
