This image was captured at Sitabari near Baran, Rajasthan. You can see Colonies of Honey Bees here.
The method of collecting Shahad (honey) from non-farm area is different here.
Tehsil* wise contracts are assigned to bidders every year. Some Tehsils awards contract for around Rs. 5,000 while others may charge upto Rs. 1 Lac depending on the scope of the honey in that area.
Recently I came to know a method for checking purity of the Honey as original or not.
To check the purity, put one spoonful honey on a newspaper or normal paper. Put a burning matchstick just below the honey's wet area for some time. If the paper starts burning, it is not pure otherwise you are lucky to get pure honey.
* Tehsil: A district may have few Tehsil representing certain Administrative or Revenue area
$1 USD = 45 Rupees (appx.)

An interesting daily life shot with excellent repetition of the tree branches & good sharpness. I initially thought the beehives were birds nests, so thanks for the note.

You made a good job showing that unusual (at least for me) way of producing honey with the hives on the trees. Besides the documental value, the photo is also very nice aesthetically, with the branches of the tree making a nice pattern against the blue sky.
TFS, Regards, José.

This surely isnt the place I would like to be! With hives as big as the one you have pictured rakesh it sure must be dangerous to venture closer. The image has good vibrant colours and has been seen well from a good pov and dof. Nice composition.

First of all, thanks for sharing this platanus tree with the bees colonies - so well focussed and vividly coloured.
Secondly, thanks for the sharing of this simple honey purity test method with the paper and the match stick!

Strong colors and wonderful details to this honey factory in the tree. Very informative note about this beautiful health food.

I like the mesh created with the bare branches against the blue sky. The beehives are of course a great bonus. Excellent light & sharpness in this shot

It's a very interesting and beautiful pooint of view... The sky's blue and its contrast between the branches's cream are perfect... Also perfect light, clarity and sharpness...
Also thank you for your detailed note...

very well captured colonies of honey bees here. What I also like, is the graphism of the branches against the nice blue sky, as the bg.
Tfs the pic and for the very interesting note!
