Photographer's Note
Amer Fort is commonly known as Amber Fort or Amber Palace. It is situated on top of a hill in Amer which is just a few miles outside Jaipur. I have done a WS so that you can get an idea of how large it is. If you look closely you may see some elephants.
The sandstone structure is magnificent and a top tourist attraction. Once this palace was lived in by the Rajput Maharajas. Getting to the entrance requires either a walk uphill or an elephant ride. So of course we took the ride up and walked down! Taking photos from on top of an elephant is not easy but I took this one of a family on the elephant in front of us. I will post an image from inside the fort another day.

hi Ann
a new means of transportation, I never used! it seems there are a lot of elephants (this one is nr 124). the girls seem to be delighted. I think you were too on an elephant back and so you don't had enough time to look carefully for the framing: you cut their feet.
I propose you a WS to remove the other elephant at the back, disturbing the clarity.
Have a good Easter.
Cheers

Hello Ann,
Sharp, colorful, and so very exotic. I feel vicariously the rolling ride on an elephant and seeing this scene through the viewfinder myself. The first thing that would have struck me, however, is the "license plate" — 2^0, 2^1, 2^2 or (0, 1, 2).
Ann, a couple of days ago, the website created at the behest of my publishers receive a "flag counter." Can I impose on you to click on the site and in the process, plant another Union Jack.
Have a good weekend.

Hello Ann,
I love this one! The really "up close" shot with the background of the huge fort works exceptionally well and there is lots of human interest here too with the serene smile of the mother and the gleeful happiness of the child nearest the camera. The downhill traffic on the right adds even more interest to this amazing shot.
Fabulous colours, perfect exposure and stunning detail and sharpness.
Your workshop picture really shows the immense size of this fort - the elephants can just be made out as tiny dots!
Fabulous!
Have a Lovely Easter!
John.

Hello Ann,
What a strange rickshaw, I thought until I read the note and looked more closely. This must be a relative rarity in the TE category of Transportation. You captured the colourful and cheerful family well and the earth-coloured walls provide a fine background, while at the same time giving nice depth to the picture.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Ann,
A superb group portrait from India of the profiled mother & children on the ride admiring the view at left. Good sharpness & punchy light contrasts with vibrant colour & superb saturation. The elephants at right add interest & context. Tfs! Happy Easter!

ciao Ann,
mi piace questa inquadratura con la madre e i figli su questo carro da trasporto in una immagine dalla bella vivacità cromatica.
Ottima ambientazione con le strutture di fortificazione fatte in materiali tipici del luogo.
