Photographer's Note

In a 120 year old residential colony called Mahdi Bagh, we had the surprise visit from migratory birds in 2005 for the first time. These arrived in winter and perched themselves atop the safety of tall eucalyptus trees. Made lot of noises and their white droppings white-washed the garden below! So many foreign birds was a novelty for us residents and I attempted to photograph one of them as shown in the photo. I had to zoom in to capture the magnified view and this was made difficult as I had to stand holding my camera and shoot upwards. I steadied my hands and clicked. Hope the result is worth seing! Somehow the birds did not realize that Nagpur is very hot in summer (45 degrees centigrate)and over-stayed in their new home. They had babies but many perished along with their parents when the heat became unbearable. Cheers!
