Photographer’s Note

CSIA stands for 'Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport'... Mumbai's airport. I had to wait there some hours for my connecting flight to Goa at 5am. so the place was almost empty and lights dimmed. Taking some pictures helped me to pass some time...

CSIA est l'acronyme de 'Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport' et est l'aéroport de Mumbai (Bombay) Je devais attendre une partie de la nuit ma correspondance pour Goa, et l'endroit était presque désert et les lumières a mi puissance... Rien de tel que faire quelques photos pour passer le temps...

Huge but empty! Well, it was 5am and it still is a domestic terminal. So, it is understandable!!! I guess, the red carpets on the left are for the business/first class privilege travellers! It is an interesting shot. Well done.

Une architecture et un lumière qui sont propices à l'exercice photographique effectivement. Une très belle et nette perspective. J'aime beaucoup la profondeur de l'image et l'atmosphère qui y règne. Joli et intéressant coup d'oeil.

A neat shot...looks nice, the terminal, so empty. You would have taken this from Barista or whichever coffee shop I presume! Good depth & like the repeating curves.

I think this picture represents very well India as one of the countries that fast growing economies.

Superbe perspective de cette architecture très fonctionnel. Tu as choisi bien le PdV est la lumière est bien maîtrisée. C'est un peu surprenant de voir comme il est désert, mais l'heure explique ça. Il n'as pas rien a voir avec l'aéroport que j'ai connu il y a 15 ans, sauf pour la pierre brune du sol.

An excellent shot with a really great DOF and sharpness. I have not been to Mumbai for 9 years, because your picture is news to me. Looking at that hall you would never think that you are in India. Looks very contemporary. Very well composed and executed.

Je vois que tu ne perds pas ton temps dans les aéroports ;) je ne suis jamais montée au 1er étage, et le pdv est excellent! Perspective, graphisme, cadrage...tout est bon!
De bonnes touches de couleurs qui égayent le terminal également!

A great perspective shot Laurent, you POV is just right. I spent a few hours in Mumbai Airport myself a few years ago, also in the middle of the night, and trying (and failing - too many people snoring!) to sleep in one of the lounges.

il y a un côté cinéma (genre le 5ème élément ou Blade RUnner) dans ce terminal. J'imagine qu'il devait aussi faire chaud. C'est très photogénique.
