These elegant and congenial Rabari women cheerfully entertain visitors to their small villages near the Pakistani border. Tea and dhal are generously provided to the trickle of foreigners who wander through...
After returning to Bhuj I mailed color prints to the village school-master as the women had requested.
ISO at 200 ASA and focal length at 48.0mm.

Another wonderful portrait of Indian women. You have a wonderful way of seeing India and her beautiful people.
My travels there have not taken my to Gujarat as of yet. Maybe next time?
Thanks for the memories.

You find the most amazing and colourful people and scenes to photograph and this one is no exception. The shades of purple mixed with turquoise, red, yellow etc... are a feast for the eyes, and of course her thoughtful expression is great. I also find her jewelry and tattoos very interesting. The light was just right not too harsh.

Once more time, good job

B+ Well that's what it says on the wall Caleb. Thought you mught be marking yourself ;D
Excellent as usual. Love the colours and the way the woman has her hand up to her chin, very relaxed looking.

All your photos are worth seeing, the last one is a beauty but I am even more seduced by this kind of portrait, not only worth seeing for all the very interesting details of the clothes, the tattoes etc but also for the wrinkles of the face (that tell a bit of her story) and the intensety of her gaze.

For a quiet long time(one-two weeks or so) that I wanted to write few words about your photograph.I have saved/added the page to my favourite links/pages, in case that I`ll forget about it.So, time has come.
A portrait that I loved it from the first sight. Her pose, the hand under her chin, her clothes(rich in colors) and the most important, her look, her eyes, that break into me.I admire your photograph so much,I like every detail about it.Maybe because you captured her soul too?.Thank you.
I wouldn`t mention the technical part, because you already know it.
My kind regards
