The northern Garasia Jatt, just a stone's throw from the Pakistani border... relatively untouched as my Anthropology professor friend in Bhuj told me - quite truely...
They live by the sea, in the desert, in reed huts, with dirt floors, but will offer you their beds and tea in true hospitality. Pictures are a different matter since they are Sunni Muslim. This lady was in a cooperative demeanor with her best gold and silver - by the evening light.

Wonderful warm light you got here with a more than interesting woman in front of your lens. I't's that light in combination with her beautiful clothings and nose ring what makes this one very good. You must have tones of images that worth posting for...keep them coming.

Hi Caleb, Just surfing a little bit on TE again, and as you're in my favorites, of course I come across this exquisite portrait. You were very lucky with the evening glow here, or probably it's not even luck, but you simply went for it.
This light turns everything into gold, and beside that, she is a very beautiful woman with gorgeous brown eyes, and her nose ring is echoed in the necklace as well. Beautiful indeed.

Its the light here of course that makes her even more interesting. A lovely warm glow with all that delicate silver-ware.

Beautiful shot! I always love this kind of light. And what a stunning array of colors and adornments. She has a wonderful expression. Interesting notes too. Great work, cheers,

an interesting cultural potrait with nice ethnographic detail. i'm just wondering if, judging by your model's forehead, the sun is not hitting her eyes too directly :)
warm regards and TFS

apart from the quality and PoV of the image and the stunning colourful clothes of the lady here is that warm light of late afternoon that give the mood; the mood of a place out of the world in the far Gujarat border.
