Photographer's Note

Bhujjodi is a traditional craft village inhabited by around 1200 people of the Vankar community of weavers, situated at the outskirts of Bhuj, almost 11 kms. from the town. The majority of people of that land engage themselves in traditional occupations such as weaving and embroidery, which they are famous for. Exquisite shawls, traditional blankets and handicraft products including dhablas and woolen durries are made here. Harijan village, one of neighboring the villages of Bhujjodi, is considered the best weaving center of Kutch. The people of this village have also proved to be adopt at mirror work and clay designing.

I have taken this photo on a shop, where she was working. I hope, you will like it.
