Bonjour Patrick,
Light on the book is a bit heavy, but I like the original pov (not disrespectful, I assume) and the great monochrome background.

You choose the best POV not to disturb his readings, shame the book is a bit overexposed, but its difficult soemtimes I know to get the conditions how you would like.

I like that you chose to accentuate the brown tones and stark white. It looks simple, clean, and effective. Interesting subject and wonderful light. Great job!

bonsoir Patrick
Superbe!
Amicalement

Bonjour Patrick
A very original POV where you did not disturb his reading his Quran (I presume). The colour contrast between the white of his dress and the book with the brown BG brings out your subject very well. Well done!
Best Regards

Salut Patrick,
Thanks for your critique on my Bretagne posts. As you my have noticed I shoot almost exclusively landscapes and never tried to do portraits or even street photographie. Thats not my busyness - maybe because I don't want anybody taking photographs of myself. So - we are quite opposite in philosophy - as far as I have travlled your galleries there are almost exclusively sceneries with people, smiling into the camera, working or simply doing their own thing without taking notice of your camera. I find this one here great with find sharpness and excellent exposure. Your style of framing is unique and looks professional. It gives the viewer and extra information on top of the images message, which is good.
The frame would not fit the same way for kind of snapshot sceneries but for a well composed image like this it is perfect. So keep on trekking, Patrick.
Bonne journee,
Thomas
