Photographer's Note

The niches are bordered by a richly carved frame (parikarma), and the pilasters, of which, replicate the actual pillars. The extended pediment is crowned in an ilika design of some height that connects with a stringed course. In the centre of this can be seen a long pot hanging from a chain. There are four niches on each level in a kuta.
