A view of the Tiracol (or Terekhol) river, which forms the border between Maharashtra (left bank on the photo) and Goa (on the right side) states.
Although the coastal areas in Goa have become very touristic, the interior is still quiet and nice.

Bien que la cote soit devenue ultra touristique, l'intérieur des terres est toujours tranquille!

Hello Laurent,

lately I read in a magazine about Asia that the Goans are getting rid of the fact that their state is just seen as a tropical beach paradise. So there was an online survey where residents of Goa should make proposals for other concepts of tourism, e.g. homestay programs or adventure tourism.

What concerns your photo: I was attracted by the fine light. Was it taken in the morning or in the evening?
I also like the reflection of the boat in the water. The red boat amidst all that Blue and Green is a real eyecatcher.

I like the rippled reflections on the side of the boat & the superb warm cold color contrasts between the rusty red & the blue sky. Fantastic reflections & well composed using the rule of thirds. Tfs!

Rivers, lakes, coconuts trees, mangrove forest are landscapes you can find in that state
There is a fort there also

Hello Laurent,
The boat looks a bit clumsy to me, but the faded colours are really lovely and it casts a very fine reflection. This quiet and peaceful view certainly seems to be at a safe distance from the tourist areas. The light is superb too.

nice the view of the place with the wooden boat to floodlight with the warm afternoon light making the image even more effective and unique.I like the endless view of the river, as the excellent colour management of the scene.

oh, I havent seen Terekhol since I was there in 1976 (without I may add a camera) thanks for the memory. It was gorgeous then and looks gorgeous still. i wonder for how longer? Lovely colours and reflections, not to mention finely composed.

Με την φωτογραφία σου μας ταξιδεύεις σε έναν τόπο που δύσκολα μπορούμε να βρεθούμε.
Μου αρέσει η σύνθεση με την βάρκα στο ποτάμι. Το ξεφτισμένο χρώμα της βάρκας και η αντανάκλαση στο νερό είναι πιστεύω κάποια από τα σημεία που εντυπωσιάζουν τον θεατή.
