Mapusa market, specially on Fridays, has become popular among foreign and Indian tourists alike, but it still has an atmosphere of its own.

Une vendeuse au marché de Mapusa baille, alors que les affaires vont lentement sous ce soleil de plomb!
Ce marché, spécialement le vendredi est assez couru par les touristes, étrangers et Indiens, mais il a quand même une atmosphère bien à lui...

What a fascinating array of very colourful items for sale with interest all through the picture. I don't recognise some of the fruit and vegetables but they make a super subject. I hope business picked up later!

on ne peut pas dire qu'elle pose! Il y a une double image avec l'étal de fruits et légumes qui est gardé par la femme et l'étalage d'objets colorés en plastique gardé stoïquement par l'homme qui semble s'ennuyer autant que la marchande, faute d'acheteurs.

Si les clients n'arrivent pas maintenant, la vendeuse va s'endormir. J'aime ces marchés colorés et conviviaux où l'on trouve de tout. La composition, la lumière, les couleurs et la netteté sont excellentes. Bravo.

Great keen eyes, a very imaginative lively shot that really stands out in vivid colors. Full of vibrancy and cleverly composed, a well filled image with lots of attractive elements to influence viewers' eyes. Street market ambient is amazing as it creates a visual feast to the eyes. scherzo...sempre bello il tema dei mercati...anche se è diffile fare delle belle inquadrature pechè ci sono sempre tanti dettagli e tanta gente...ma i colori sono sempre belli... ;)))

belle scène de marchée, très colorée.La femme semble avoir encore beaucoup de stock et peu d'acheteurs, elle a l'air de s'ennuyer ferme.Par contre, pour nous, il y a beaucoup de choses à regarder,c'est comme si on y était, et c'est vraiment très agréable.

J'apprécie le cadrage de la scène, sans éléments perturbateurs, ce qui n'est pas toujours évident dans les marchés ;))
Les étalages sont bien fournis et colorés.

Hello Laurent,

I miss shopping in the market like this. I remember having to go everyday for fresh vegetables and fruits. Not like in the city here, we shop once a week and keep them in the refridgerator for day and weeks. I also miss all this tropical fruits.

Beautiful market shot, full of colors and good daily life image. It must be slow, the woman is yawning :)

nice the daily snapshot from the open air market of the city, with the woman greengrocer to be and to looks a bit bored.
As i see there is a great variety from fresh vegetables with the light and the colour management to brings out the details of the image.

Très bonne ambiance reproduite à travers cette composition. Nous avons vraiment l'impression d'être sur place. Difficile de faire un choix des produits présentés, tant ils sont nombreux. J'aime beaucoup la posture (fatiguée) de la vendeuse.

A stunning daily life scene from the sub continent. The top half looks similar to the Sha Ping Market in Yunnan but the bottom half with the fruit is more like Cambodia, Vietnam or Thailand. Good colour & sharpness & the old woman animates the shot. Merci!

You have presented here the colours in Goan market, sesonal veggie,fruits as also household items. The colours are well saturated,bright and sharp.Only the expression of boredom on the seller's face is a little dampner among the colourful treat around.Good presentation. I visited the place in last yr Jan, but didn't carry a camera.

Superbe POV sur cette marchandise colorée, de toutes sortes !
Les fruits et légumes d'abord ! Cela nous a beaucoup impressionnés en Inde : La variété était à la juste mesure d'un peuple souvent végétarien! Ensuite, il y a les cordes multicolores, les seaux en plastique, les pelles, le bac de gingembre ...
Le para-pluie-sol noir est le seul élément sombre dans ce marché à l'atmosphère bien spécifique come tu le dis !

Superbe cette photo Laurent,

J'aime bien les photos de marchés. Celle-ci est bien réussie. Les fruits et légumes sont magnifiques. Nos yeux sont attirés par l'étale et atteignent les ballots de tissus aux couleurs étincelantes. Magnifique composition. L'arrière plan ouvrant sur d'autres magnifique kiosque, nous apprécions donc la netteté de l'image et la profondeur de champs.

Très bien réussi.

Rich colors in a poor town street-market, Laurent.
Your POV allow many elements shown in picture, mix of merchendise from vegtables, fruits and house-keeping stuff. All with the sellers presence to add vivid tones.
