Green things Photo

Photographer’s Note

A lady selling vegetables at the marketplace in Diu town, western India.
The title of the photo refers to the Swedish word for vegetables, "grönsaker", meaning literally "green things". I can't really identify what she is selling. I think there are beans, okra, spring onions, but I'm not quite sure. The limited light gave me a very short DOF.
This picture from 1985 was scanned from a Kodachrome slide.

Hej Gert,
I also have difficulties to recognize what she is selling. However I do know that my vegetables does not come out in this amount this summer...(either)

Hej Gert,
Very good contrast between her red clothes and the green things. Her posture is also very good in the composition but the upper right corner could have been something else. But all in all, a very good picture!

Photo is almost as old as me:) But looks so great! Very good capture and very nice colours - especially green things:) Smily face of woman also very nice - looks so friendly!

Hi Gert, Simple portrait of a woman and her wares. Reminds me of another shot :-) . Good sharpness and composition, although as saxo42 said, it is a shame the plumbing was there. Good scanning job. On my monitor it seems to have a slight green cast. Cheers, Steve

Hello Gert, I like the woman's facial expression & her posture in this scene, her red clothes contrast well with the greens things. Limited DOF not a real problem here.

absolutely cheerful photo - quite enough to raise a person's mood :)
I like the bright red, yellow and green colours!
and especially the smile on the lady's face. I'm not sure that it's so important to know what she is selling. Her smile and the look of her eyes are so much more important.
The composition is perfect!
