Nothing pejorative meant from the title, but it seemed to fit. He's an old, one-eyed sailor who has seen better days and now spends his afternoons pan-handling by the jetties along the old Portuguese port in Diu city. In the background: crumbling colonial plaster of the old bars and marine shops.

I really like the mans face! The small shop in the background adds interest. I've been experimenting with portraits like this.... (http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/Bangladesh/photo179052.htm) see what you think! It somehow isn't as good as yours. Any advice welcome.

what an interesting subject. well placed on the side and good work on the dof. another good reason to use a wide angle lens more often.

Very good portrait in his environment. It is a pity that I can't notice the single eye. But I see it in the WS very well.

This ia beautiful composition. The porttrait of the man is wonderful, the buildings in the background are full of character and the use of dof is perfect.
