Hi Henk,
This is a fantastic documentary of their lives. The colours & texture are impressive here. And I enjoy your 1/2 division of the frame right through the centre of pic. Well, the owner's certainly wearing a 'nicer' clothe...and also producing greater contrast in picture. Good job.
Regards,
CheukHin

Hi Henk
Sorry I lost a lot of your great shots lately.
I like the way you document this shop and its worker/owner - good to see a difference between rich and poor :-))
A good handheld job - thanks for sharing.

A beautiful contextual double-portrait, Henk. Well done capturing the interior light and vibrant colors at ISO 1600 with a stable hand, and interesting to see the guys embedded amidst the rims, bolts and other parts. And in fact the difference in social status is shown - as it seems not only in the physical attributes but also the worker seems to have to sit in a much more crammed space than the boss. Interesting work.
I thought it was money, or that was what Liza Minnelli sang in "Cabaret". Tipically Indian: A guy sitting there and other working, I mean itīs the same in Europe but not so evident at least. Very surprised with this photo Henk, like two worlds in the same environment. The worker looks happier. Take care friend.

Hallo Henk,
Groet, Henk
bonjour henk
excellent colours, orange walls and yellow shirt as well as the worker framed by stacks of wheels.
this is like everywhere the workers works and the boss counts.

Hi Henk.
What say about this photo?
If you continue with this kind of photos will learn much about this country, its people, its culture and also about photography.
This photo in someway is a great lesson about... about a lot of things.
The composition is wonderful, and this place with the two men is fantastic.
Thanks for share.

Hi Henk,
Amazing and warm light for this moment, unrepeteable and at the same time usual. So many things in a so restricted space, but you has obtained an own light for every object. It's too a good documentary about work and life. I'add one more detail about the boss and the labour man. The boss sit on the chair, perhaps because he is not forced to stand up every moment. Thanks again, I love shots like this.
Regards. Angel.

Hallo Henk,
Prettige weekend,
John.

I like the varied details this photo brings me. A review on wether I still remember some parts of my car. The composition divided into two is quite interesting. The post in the middle is a natural for this. Well done!

What a fascinating detail in this tight composition. You have handled the artificial light very well. But more important, your frame in this one is objective and dispassionate.

Another excellent daily life shot with great details and sharpness, good lighting and POV. I don't think the weight will make the difference, I just posted a picture of a lady beggar in New York City and she is fat.
Your composition and colours contrast are excellent.
Well done. TFS.

Hi Henk,
good thing you eventually took this photo of a local small business.
All the equipment there, tools and such seem to be in place and neatly stacked.
Throughout the frame there are so many different shades of yellow colour - quite remarkable!
A really good 'at work' shot you should be proud of!

Toch nog heel scherp Henk, en het licht is heel bijzonder met die oranje kleur aan de buitenkant. Ook leuk vind ik dat de schoentjes buiten blijven staan..
Mooi gedaan.

Hi Henk!,
ISO 1600 and no noise at all...I am amazed. Good daily life shot, the owner seems to be tense as he has to take care of his money, run his shop etc etc in order to fulfil his desire on the other hand the worker is happy and smiling he is tension free because he is satisfied by fulfilling his basic needs:-) That is my point of view.
Best regards,
Vivek

Dag Henk,
Great composition here, with the frame clearly divided in two equal parts and the way how the two men sit there makes the composition perfectly axial symmetric! But what a contrast between the men! Besides the size of the belly, the colours of clothes, as well as the fact that one seems sleeping and the other seems working;) The wheels add fantastic graphic element here.
Heel heel mooi inderdaad!

Very interesting one and a funny moment you managed to capture here. Funny comparison between the owner and the employee that resumes a lot in the world of work.
The colors are nice and I am impressed you got so much sharpness with handheld. I am sure it would be interesting to take pictures of the interior or the shop.

Mooi vind ik dit. Echt India : in een onooglijkwinkeltje met een ongelooflijke verzameling goederen en rustige, echt niet ongelukkige mensen.
Prachtig licht en proficiat om dit uit de hand te trekken !

Your photographs are an eye opener to me being an Indian and missing so beautiful things.
Thanks

Hello Henk, I like this one for the yellow tones and the steel all around .This somewhat gives a feeling a Bulldozer or a big earth mover has been dismantled and kept in this small shop..may be because of the colors.
Nice hand held shot.
Your idea to shoot this also induces me to go and shoot the Automobile spares hub of chennai "Pudupettai". I have seen weird looking shops which sell stuff from cars and trucks. They have thousands of similar stuff hanging all around in the shop.
I have heard that place is not safe too. So I advice you not to remember the name. :)

Hi Henk, nice catch of the moment here. Lovely colors and clarity with handheld ! The pillar in the middle is good too to seperate the 2 persons, boss and worker. 8-)
This is THE shop for the furious tunner guys...I guess you can find anything you need to buil your own porsche ;O) Very nice picture I like the way you have framed the scene without any perspective. Despite of the low light the picture is really sharp..thank yhou Canon IS ;o)

What a shop - the detail captured in this shot is excellent. The two people engrossed in their work that they do not notice the photographer.
