Western ghats are the row of mountains at the southwest of India. Its south end separates the states Kerala and Tmail Nadu. This south portion is almost continuous and have thick green beautiful forest.
The very famous Ootty, Kodiakanal, Thekkadi, Silent Valley, Parambikulam national park, Munnar, Chinnar, Kuttalam, Thirunelli, Valpara etc etc all are in these range.

There are only a few notches through which the roads connecting two southmost states. Palghat pass is the widest one and NH47 and railway goes through this. Almost all the other ways are through thicky hill forest and tourists can fulfill their minds with great pleasure. I like very much the travel through this mountaineous roads.

One beautiful and amazing route is `Chalakkudi' - `Pollachi'. Chalakkudi is in Kerala and Pollachi in Tamil Nadu. You can see big group of wild elephants while passing through here. The famous `Athirappalli' waterfall, `Vazhachal', Sholayar dam, Malakkappara Tea estates, Valpara, Aliyar Dam etc are sonses of this path.

A few weeks ago I had a travel through this road and I camped at `Valpara' for a day. I consider the Valpara as Munnar of TamilNadu. I know that Valpara is as beatiful as Munnar of Kerala. But the tourists are not coming much because of the lack of exposure and inconvenience in transportation.

Excellent work. The layers of tea cultivated hills are amazing. Reminds me a lot of my days at Darjeeling during my schooldays.

Hi Pramod,
Yes, it looks like Munnar, I was just checking in your gallery the shots of Munnar, infact in the thumbnail view I thought this to be another shot of Munnar.Excellent valley of Tea, lovely colour saturation and the different layers of the valley is very attractive.
Greetings,
Dhurjati

This is gorgeous, Pramod. Love those layers and the mist, and the green is a feast to the eyes!

Great view on these green plantations. I love the txture and the light in the foreground, the mist in the back. Very well done.

The more I see such shots Pramod, the more I get mesmerised. The green rolling tea plantations, the mist, the sparkling waterfalls -- what made me boozed last week - again surfaced before me through this marvel of yours. TFS. Regards.

Hi Pramod,

Superb shot. I love your composition and with the nearest hill very close and with the tea bushes forming a pattern, the four more hills and then the blurred valley and the cloudy sky in the background. Very well seen and really well done. Have nice weekend!

Cheers,

Ulf

Hi Pramod
The shapes and geometry of the tee 'trees', the repeating layers of the slopes of the plantation, the hanging mist...beautiful! This place, is as beautiful as Munnar & surely more pristine.

It's so green, it's so fluorescent... It's so unreal...
This place looks very attractive and lovely, thanks for that discovery.
Stéphane

In a way, this photo is a sort of pendant to the other recent photo of Munnar and as good - lovely, the fog on top of the mountain and the fragile trees emerging from the bushes of tea-trees... Love it !
Bravo, and waiting for your next one !
Best regards,
Cath.
