[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Western ghats are the row of mountains at the southwest of India. Its south end separates the states Kerala and Tmail Nadu. This south portion is almost continuous and have thick green beautiful forest.
The very famous Ootty, Kodiakanal, Thekkadi, Silent Valley, Parambikulam national park, Munnar, Chinnar, Kuttalam, Thirunelli, Valpara etc etc all are in these range.

There are only a few notches through which the roads connecting two southmost states. Palghat pass is the widest one and NH47 and railway goes through this. Almost all the other ways are through thicky hill forest and tourists can fulfill their minds with great pleasure. I like very much the travel through this mountaineous roads.

One beautiful and amazing route is `Chalakkudi' - `Pollachi'. Chalakkudi is in Kerala and Pollachi in Tamil Nadu. You can see big group of wild elephants while passing through here. The famous `Athirappalli' waterfall, `Vazhachal', Sholayar dam, Malakkappara Tea estates, Valpara, Aliyar Dam etc are sonses of this path.

A few weeks ago I had a travel through this road and I camped at `Valpara' for a day. I consider the Valpara as Munnar of TamilNadu. I know that Valpara is as beatiful as Munnar of Kerala. But the tourists are not coming much because of the lack of exposure and inconvenience in transportation.)

A marvelous view of green vegetation and a stream that completes the scene.
The people at the bottom give the exact dimension of the place.

Superb shot Pramod specially with your Canon A400. Picture is well bright and specially green colour is well saturated. I visited many parts of Uttaranchal/Himalaya but this type of view is very rare. Excellent job done and very well explained Subject.

This is a lovely picture,with good exposure and composition. It looks a little over sharpened though (watch out for this). Otherwise, you have done an excellent job.

I like the lines here, the dirt tracks and the stream all taking my eye to the small pond down there! Rich green colour fading into bluish in the background, the repeating patterns of the fields... all very nice!

Very strong composition. Full of colors and a nice POV. The lines are great which increases the details. Like the way how the river lead us to the background and disapears in the horizon.
