Photographer's Note
One more from my driving holiday stable down South. Again shot at the Periya Kovil. This corridor is called the Aradhana Mantapam or the Circumbulatory corridor. It contains nearly 100 Lingams and Frescoes to the left. That picture can be seen here.

This corridor in the ancient days could easily seat 2,000 people for the afternoon meals which used to be served at the temple.
The corridor has held great fascination for me because it just seems to go on and on and disappear into nothingness. The photo does not do it justice. It has to be seen in person. And I shoot this everytime I returrn which is once every 4 to 5 years.

Info about the shot
RAW to JPEG to Sepia and resized for TE. No other adjusttment done. Know in hindsight that I should have managed the light at the right. But I am always in a stupor when I see this place.
The title is borrowed from Wanda1 from one of her posts. Thanks Wanda if you do visit this shot.
Comments always welcome!

Hi GP.
Now, this gives me a great feeling of peace, after so many sights here....
GP, you have captured a well positioned frame with a prolonged view of the temple corridors.
As far as the tones, this is natural, seems to me so... and that's so touching too.
Have a nice day.

Hi Guru!
Great perspective and fabulous balanced composition. Great choice of b&w, gives an "out of time" feeling. Congratulations!

Hi Guru:
I like the perspective and the choice for B&W. In this shot is very good. It's quite impressive the texture in the stones and the big depth you has reached here. Thank, it's really beautiful.
There is a way for to write links. I write here a link for your another shot: [a href=http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/India/photo660779.htm] Lingams [/a].
Ok, it's not exactly so. You must change the signs [ ] for < > I don't have written < >, because if I write them, you don't see the "stucture". Ok, I'm not sure it I've been clear in the explanation. If not, sorry, and tell me it if you want. Thanks!
Regards,
Angel.

Hi Guru,
Very good well composed shot with excellent perspective. I think you are correct about the light on RHS but still a beautiful shot. Sepia tones have worked well.

I think it was right decision to convert it to black and white with some sepia tone. Looks like some 19th century photo.
From this point the corridor really looks endless.
