Many houses in this small town are very very old. The houses are almost falling apart. Here you see a door of such a house. People are still living for generations. The door is a wooden one. On both sides of the door, there are two small shelves where the earthenware lamps are lighted and kept for prosperity

Excellent close-up to this door for an imafe full of nostalgy. details bvery well collected. I like too the very nice contrast betwen the roofs and the old green color of the wall.

we can see a lot of things in this composition, there are several objects hanging of the wall and of the door, which they give a good graphical wealth to this image of the old wall.
The photo has a great sharpness and a good luminosity, as well as a few very natural colors, which give it a good aesthetic level.

The idea is a nice one, Lakshmi, but you might have taken this with full door hight in view.
Nevertheless, brown color contrast the light green wall.

Hello Dear Lakshmi!

The old door seems to have very important functions, which is more than a mere doorway to simply go though to enter a house. Above the door I see some items fixed to protect the house (?). Such items are most eye-catching such as a stone with a black thread tied and hanging above the door. This kind of symbol here in my country is use to indicate to people not to proceed beyond certain points. We often find such stone in gardens. Here this stone is placed there to prevent an unwanted spirit from entering the house? Well-used doors try to tell us many stories. I wish that I had the knowledge to understand the meaning of all the beliefs associated with doors. The photo is full of such representations. The doors are alive and well cared for. The photo reveals full of symbolism to be understood, it must be intriguing to understand the meaning of them.
