Mahabalipuram was hit by the Tsunami in 2004. Fortunately there were not too many lives lost in the village, but the damage was enormous. When I was in Mahabalipuram in January 2007 there were still some remains of the damage.
But the village Mahabalipuram in 2007 is above all the village where you meet the families of the fishermen who want to continue with their life and with all the hope, the power and the strength they have built a new future for the children with new boats they got from welfare institutions.

It appears you like capturing human expressions because there are many portraits in your gallery.
This is a superb creation of capturing a very sensitive relation and happy attachment between them.
The curious and delighted expression of the little girl is beyond evaluation.
The mother appears to be aware of the camera and her slipping smile reflects the pride of being the mother of that pretty child.

What a cute photo - the girl's expression is brilliant.
Nicely framed, including enough of their surroundings to give a good idea of what they are doing.
