Photographer's Note

Shot taken at the Madurai Police Quarters on Republic Day. Girls, girls, school girls also this group was waiting to get on stage for their dance performance.

Some of the faces seem yellowish, indeed some used turmeric powder to avoid skin damage by sun, a habit in Tamil Nadu, very effective, and it prevents skin cancer.

This one on request for Henk ... too many at once ... ? No worry, I will isolate a beauty for you later :)).

Hi Henk.
Fun picture and scene.
We see faces and this kind of fans. All of them "repeated". Even they make a strong diagonal wich is really interesting for the photo.
Not only graphism.

Jij hebt toch wel een grote diversiteit aan India foto's, dat vind ik bewonderingswaardig en heel erg mooi.

Excellent, Henk! I think one of your best uploads lately. Great saturated colours which are in harmony with each other, and good high POV allowing to combine strong graphical arrangement of these identical elements with their faces, all different. Very good indeed.

it's the wonderful colours that atracted me to this image and on closer inspection the eyes of the girls too, so shy and demur. I think I'll give the turmeric a miss though. A fine composition Henk, well seen.
