Photographer's Note
The Meenakshi temple forms the heart and lifeline of the 2500 year old city of Madurai.
This Hindu temple attracts 15,000 visitors a day, and even more during festivals.
I am experimenting HDR technique with one single raw file. I tried to keep a result as "natural" as possible. Your comments and critics are most welcome.
Is there too much saturation?
Is this too bright?
Does it look strange?

HI Julien,
I think you have done wonderfully well. Great details, I like the wide angle effect, no it doesn't look over saturated either.

Hello Julien,
The HDR in this photo looks very nice. There is a richness in the colors that really jumps out. I like the triangular composition, with the point in the center of the frame. The action is also great; I especially like the woman in red that seems to be sweeping. The wide angle gives an interesting effect, and the depth on each side is wonderful. I like it! :-)

bonjour Julien
Bon dimanche

Hi Julien
Many thks to you comments.
It's always worth trying Julien to make as natural as possible. This is stunning interior shot using ultra wide 10mm and superb ant point of view together with the contrasting colours gives it all the stronger impact. Great lines with those lovely delicate patterns and this is just my kind of image I would love to shoot rendering a splendid graphical effect, with the symmetry and immense depth. You have got the exposure just right in natural light ambience and shadows which gives it such a great lift and contrast, the lady in red is just at the right spot as effective focal. Colors look natural and not oversaturared with excellent sharpness. Fine work, Well done.
Best regards

I would say that you have got it just right Julian. It looks amazing without being overdone, The POV is terrific as are the colours, but the icing on the cake for me is the lady in red with the motion blur on her broom

Hello Julien,
The colours almost glow against the stonework. A super POV making good use of the patterns and symmetry. I like the woman in red sweeping in the FG. Very interesting image - well done.

Hello Julien
Good to see you 'pop-up' now & then in TE. :-)
This is a fine shot, with good use of the wide lens. The twin perspective with the arrow-head formation in the FG top works well. The HDR works really well here...wouldn't have known unless you mentioned. Very realistic result!

Hello Julien,
beautiful HDR composition.I´m also new fan of HDR photography and try to learn more about it.And i must admit your image is superb. You were able to create really excellent HDR,with great attenton for details and colors, but you did not let the photo apear "unreal" or like a painting, which is really great achievement.By the way, love the colorful ceiling ornamentations. They give nice contrast to the rest of composition.
Best Regards

bonsoir Julien

You have an excellent gallery, Julien, congratulations.
I have chosen this image for its different pov, that is very original and effective.
And also, I really agree that the HDR has to be as natural as possible. Here one has even the doubt if it si HDR or not, and this is how things shound be.
Congratulations again
