Vivekananda Rock with its memorial is located on an rocky island in Kanya Kumari, the southern most tip of the Indian peninsula. It is said that Swami Vivekananda had swam to this rock and as he looked back upon India, he got the inspiration to represent Hinduism in the World Religious Forum in Chicago. I always have a extraordinary feeling when I have a glimpse of the Indian Peninsula from this place.
