Photographer’s Note
I took this photo at the time of pongal which is a common festival,celebtated by the people of tamilnadu especially by the farmers.it is known as kannum pongal and it is celebrated at the next day of pongal.farmers use to give bath to their cows and worship god.it is traditional festival of tamilians. farmers use to plant new saplings on this day.actually it is like a thanks giving ceremony for the cows which worked the whole year without rest.

I like the different and unique colours on the cow. The horn has many different bright colours, and the movement of the water creates a great effect. There is strength in the photo from both man and beast, but also a gentleness, especially in the eye of the cow. Great job!
