Mehndi also known as hennais the application of as a temporary form of skin decoration, practiced mainly India and Nepal.

This picture is about the mehndi or henna designers who are spotted on the pavements of Panagal Park, T.Nagar, the busy shopping areas in the city. Young north Indian male people are engaged in earnestly beautifying palms of the customers with elaborate north Indian ‘mehendi’ designs at a low cost.

A few mehndi cones, bottles of eucalyptus oil, mehndi patterns and small plastic stools define the business space for this mehndi artists and they are also skilled in various types of the art including Arabic, Rajasthani, Marwari to the Bombay style and intricate bridal designs and the charges ranges between Rs.25 to Rs.400.

Though most of them know only Hindi, they attract customers with their creative skills.
