Photographer’s Note
The Parthasarathy Temple is an 8th century Hindu Vaishnavite temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, located at Triplicane, Chennai, India. It is one among the 108 divyadesams or holy abodes of Lord Vishnu. The name 'Parthasarathy', in Sanskrit, means the 'Charioteer of Arjuna', and Lord Krishna is worshipped in that role in this temple.
The Brahmotsavam is one of the most important and auspicious functions at the temple. Popular stories trace the origin of this celebration to Brahma, the creator God. Utsava means festival. Hence, this festival is called "Brahmotsavam” i.e., Brahma’s Utsavam.
This shot shows the temple chariot being taken in a procession on the four roads surrounding the temple.

Hi Sridhar,
Intricate and colourful design certainly is the dominant feature of this chariot, there isn't a square centimeter that isn't packed with detail.
A very interesting capture showing this amazing dedication.
An informative note too, well done.
Regards
Peter
