[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On our boat trip along the backwaters of Kerala we stopped of at the village of Champakkulam and this beautiful 480 year old church called the Champakkulam St Mary's church. The interior of the church is exquisitely painted. Carved wooden beams in intricate designs are painted in bright colours and adorn the ceiling.

Great shot of St Mary's Church, Champakulam. I have been there many times and never did a shot... Now watching this I feel so happy...

Looks like a bit of ponding here but which gives you a nice partial water reflection. Good side view of the church and nicely composed. Not very often we get to see churches in India and this is one of few.

It seems you visited after some heavy rain. The puddles provide the image with some reflections to add some extra interest. The church is very large and ornate for what must be a minor religion in India, especially away from the major cities. You chose a good POV on a corner to use the perspective of the church for depth in the image. Good work.

interesting... something we normally do not expect: a church in indian setting... with what seems like monsoons remains in the foreground. a very trek-earthy share, in my opinion. would love to read more about the christians of india in your note.
