Kanthakarnan Theyyam-
Theyyam is one of the most outstanding of folk arts in Kerala, the picturesque southern
state of India. The Theyyam or Kolam represents a mythological,divine or heroic character.
The theyyams are representations of folk and tribal deities worshipped in various form.
There are over 500 theyyams in Kerala each having its own hood, headress and fabric of
attire according to the character presented.
