Photographer’s Note

Here is a beach landscape in Southern India (Varkala). It is a peaceful and relaxed fishing town with a great traveller vibe - with many cliff tops along the clean beaches - some are popular and busy, others are secluded like this one. The coconut palm trees dot the landscape all over in this part of the country, definately worth a visit.

Are you sure it is India and not REDCLIFFE?!!! I really enjoyed the great view and think how good it would be if we had that beach in Redcliffe. I believe you are already in travelling gear for the India and Africa adventure. I wish you a great time and hope to see plenty of beautiful pictures when you come back to Australia. Well done.

Hello David,

Beautiful place. I never think of India as having beaches this beautiful but I see they do. The cliffs add some drama to the view and the vertical compo give us a better perspective of the beach. Good colours and interesting place. I just wonder why is empty when is so natural and pretty. THanks :-)

What a beautiful, secluded scenery you found! I'm definitely jealous, it's unlike most of the beaches I've been too that are swarmed with hundreds of people! Great color and composition! Really nice photo!

the cliffs and its color, the palm trees up there, the beach and the sea are very nice shown here inside this beautiful compo. The hot colors of the cliff broke the cold colors and adds more interest
