Photographer’s Note

Number 2 in the series. Taken from the cargoboat travelling along the back waters of Kerala. Early morning. The people are walking to the rice fields, for a day of harvesting. The paddy is so green. (no saturation). Again here I like the depth of the photo and the morning light.

Tech: scanned from old dusty slide.

A nice image, I like this diagonal of people and the perspective. the pic is a bit dark though, but the light on the side is nice.

very nice photo Indeed Elaine ... Besides the things you mentioned, I also like the overexposed top left corner of the photo, gives an impression of people walking towards the holy light or something ... ciao .. sarju

This is cool composition...Beautiful theme...
I just feel that it mey need some Light balance...the near sided is dark & the far side has a deep glare...Probably result of scanning...Perhaps, you require Post processing?

En toch nog vindt ik deze een mooie omdat ikzelf op deze paadjes heb gelopen met die felle zon in je gelaat, hier een merkwaardig recht paadje ook omdat het hier langs een breder kanaal ligt. Voor mij is dit stevig contrastrerend licht uitstekend net zoals de diagonale compo, eventueel het contrast voor enkelen ietsjes reduceren zou best nog kunnen.
Roept in ieder geval een mooie herrinnering op van vroeger, zal dat eventueel nog tonen.

The PoV is striking.
The people waling between the land and shore to emptiness is very meaningful.
Looks very artistic.
