Tea is a great nation-binder of India. It is produced in the north, the east and the south. Indians consume more than 30% of the world tea output.
It is no wonder, therefore, that tea forms a backdrop for the to-be-held elections in April and May this year, where around 800 million people are eligible to participate. With one of the prime ministerial having his roots as a tea seller, what else can one expect!
It is also the tea gardens that have a great role in making the town of Munnar as beautiful as it is. Situated at a height of nearly 1600 metres above the sea level, Munnar is now one of the most famous hill stations of Kerala.

Nice view of the tea garden. The trees are enhancing the beauty of the garden. Colour and contrast are good.
I have a suggestion. You can reduce your file size in window. However this will not effect any clarity of the picture.

like this! It is a wonderfully original take on a tea plantation, with a minimalist and artistic feel about it. Love the green tones here and the perfectly placed trunks that entice and balance the composition perfectly. Excellent!
Have a good weekend - B.

This is very very green. This is also a very neat composition looking like it was created in an artist's studio with carefully calculated measurements. I think it's a photo that could soothe a restless mind.

England has always been reputed as being very green but not as green as this! It is so green that it resembles a tapestry, where the colours have been artificially limited!
It is nicely composed, with an off-centre focal tree which gives depth to the shot.
Thanks for sharing this,

Munnar is definitely Green. Its very difficult to take a photo over there without having green in the frame. Very soothing to the eyes and refreshing for the mind. I have a few good shots from Munnar shared one over here titled 'Go Green' as well :-). This is a nice photo from the tea garden, would have been great if the central tree was placed 3 inches to the left. Not bad as it is though. Excellent note too, I enjoyed reading it.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello Apurba - I am a tea lover, it's the first drink of my day and without it I am completely 'out-of-sorts'! Here we see the verdant plantation dotted with tress and cool and green. Lovely!
