[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
That day morning I was standing at the shore of Thanni Kayal (lake) and was taking some images of the lake. Suddenly I got a surprise at the other shore of the lake. An elephant trying to cross the lake with his mahout on the top. I was lucky to shoot this rare view of an elephant crossing the lake. Elephants are a important part of temple festivities in Kerala. In many temples 50 to 100 elephants will participate for the festivities .

Hello Radeeh, I like very much this image,
it has the delight that I have known
in my trip to Kerala, it is a photo
with a good framing with the elephant
aside the boat to other and a fund
of palm trees that finishes
off a good composition,
congratulations for the good work.

Best regards from Spain.

Hello Radeeh,

What a non usual photo (at least for an european guy). It seems to be a normal view of daylife in India, but for me it is really exotic.
The elephant put on the left allows to shows the landscape where the scene took place.
My only little criticism is that the elephant is a little too close to the border of the photo.
But, whatever, I like this shot.

Yves.

wonderful colourful shot. i like the placement of the elephant and the mahuth on the left

Hi Radeeh,

Nice image of Thanni kayal. Great composition and excellent PoV. The elephant is palced exactly at right place. Boatman in background adding good DoF here.

Thats a superb composition which is well balanced and vividly textured. I like the way you have used the depth and have off-centred the main subject. Good work indeed.

this looks quire nice and refreshing. quite a common and characteristic scene from the interiors of kerala. keep it up.

Nice shot. Tremendous atmosphere, Lovely nature. Is the cropping too tight here or this is the best you could?

Hi Radeeh, this is really a good picture, well perhaps that technically few things could have been done better or perhaps is it a question of cam, for sure having "the must" a canon 5D for instance would have led to better quality.
But this is nothing compared to quality of composition and spirit, atmosphere it vehiculates, and here this is so exotic and fascinating, i really lovethis association of this elephant and those coconuts
Excellent

Hi Radeeh

What a scene you have captured here, such a scene just screams India.
Nice comp and very sharp. I have not make it to Kerala yet.
Anyhow well done.
Ben

Hi,

Rather than a morning surprise, a quite ordinary view..
The concept is fine.. but the interpretation needs more space too..Isn't it?
Have a thought..
All the best.
